Accessibility statement

I want everyone to be able to read this site and get in touch, whatever device or assistive technology you use. This page says how the site is built for that, what has been tested, and what to do if something doesn't work for you.

What standard does the site meet?

The site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA, and goes further where that costs nothing: all text has a contrast of at least 7:1 against its background, in both the light and the dark colour scheme, and every link and button is at least 24 pixels tall.

What that means in practice

How was it tested?

Every page, in both languages and both colour schemes, is checked with the axe accessibility scanner and with Lighthouse each time the site changes. Before launch and after any larger change it is also tested by hand: keyboard only, with the NVDA screen reader, at 400% zoom, and at a 320-pixel screen width. The site was last fully tested on [to be added].

Known limits

None that I am aware of. If you find one, please tell me and I will fix it.

If something doesn't work for you

Email me at mandy@highfieldstherapy.co.uk and say what happened and what you were using. I will reply within two working days and fix what I can. If you would like any of this information in another format, such as large print or plain text, ask and I will send it.

Sessions and access

This statement is about the website. For sessions in person: the therapy room and the toilet are both accessible, and there is free parking on the street.

I have a calm, medium-sized dog called Lisa. She can join our sessions if you would like her to, and stays out of the room if you would rather she didn't. You never need to explain which you prefer. She lives in the house, so if you have a dog allergy, please tell me before we meet.

If you have other access needs, in person or online, tell me when you get in touch and we will work out what you need.
